Since 2012 the Centre for Human Rights Studies assists the Thun Group of Banks, a group of international banks (including UBS & CS), as an advisor for the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

A Discussion Paper for Banks on Priciples 16 - 21 of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (2013)

The undersigned banks have contributed to this discussion paper in order to gain a better understanding of the "Guiding Principles for the implementation of the United Nations 'Protect, Respect and Remedy' Framework" and of ways they can be applied in the banking business. The discussion paper focuses on Guiding Principles 16 - 21 and suggests an approach to risk assessment through a tailored due dilligence, which may be undertaken in the core business activities of universal banks.
