Portrait

Daria Capostagno received a degree in law from the University of Ferrara, Italy, and a LL.M. in Public International Law with International Criminal Law specialization from Leiden University, The Netherlands. Her LL.M. thesis focused on Truth and Reconciliation Commissions. She was a Visiting Professional at the Trust Fund for Victims of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague and subsequently completed her articling in an Italian law firm, where she dealt with family and labour law. In 2008 she moved to Vancouver, Canada, where she obtained a Master of Education (MEd) at Simon Fraser University and a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Certificate. In Canada she acquired 12-year experience in teaching young and adult learners in diverse international educational environments.
