Remo Messerli is a lawyer specializing in Swiss law and the interplay between business and human rights. After graduating from the University of Zurich, he completed the LL.M. program "Globalisation and Law" with a specialization in human rights at Maastricht University. He wrote his master's thesis on stabilization clauses in international investment treaties and their implications for human rights in developing countries. After completing his studies in the Netherlands, he worked for the United Nations in Cambodia, for Swiss judicial authorities, and for internationally and locally oriented law firms. In addition to his work at MRZ, he works as legal counsel in a law firm and as a sustainability consultant in Zurich.
